You are enough right now...right as you are! We do not embrace this enough! As moms, we are enough. We try so hard to make sure that our people are taken care of. We serve on all the committees and all the boards. We are class moms, room moms, and team moms. We ensure everyone has what they need...and we are exhausted. We are not experiencing our lives...we are rushing around. Today, we dive into the importance of being in the moment AND living today. It's not our fault...we have so many things pulling our attention. Focusing on the fact that we are enough RIGHT NOW will give us the grace to set down some of the things we feel like we should do later.

Hey friend! I am so excited you are here! Welcome back to the podcast! Today I dive into a topic that is near and dear to my heart because I have been in this cycle FOR A LONG TIME! I am a go-getter, a fixer, someone who sees a problem and then starts figuring out how to get what I want...AND I would always look first to what I was DOING. I would look at my habits, actions, to-do list, schedule...I would look, and I would get down on myself because of the actions I was taking. I felt like I wasn't doing enough (even though I was busy); I felt like I SHOULD be able to build in these healthy habits...even though I would fall short constantly... I didn't even realize I was making one of the oldest mistakes in the book! I was looking at actions before I was looking at beliefs. So many times, we get caught in the trap and believe we are just not good enough. From science, we know that those thoughts are actually keeping us from doing the dos and getting the results! Wow! This has been a long time coming and I am SO FREAKING excited to share this with you. Our lives are full of ups and downs and man do we learn a lot along the way. We grow, we shift, we are pruned...we transform. One thing that is true about our lives as we walk in faith is that we are continuously changing. Over the past decade years I have been on a restoration journey and you want to know what I discovered...you are ALWAYS on a restoration journey! You are always healing and growing AND you can explore other journeys along the way. The idea of the weight of joy came from talking to a friend and fellow coach about how life is heavy and it is either the weight of world or the weight of joy. I cannot wait to share more with you! Choose joy. It seems like 2 simple words right…and yet it evokes such feelings. As believers we WANT joy…we NEED joy… we STRIVE for joy. What if it isn’t that hard? What if it is more about being intentional than forcing yourself to put on rose-colored glasses and believe that “everything is awesome” (saying in the same tone as the Lego song…because well you can’t say it any other way, right?).

Cultivating a life of joy has more to do with how we do things rather than WHAT we do. We can choose joy even when life is hard and in this episode I give you 10 ways you can. All without avoiding hardships, trials, or pretending that your life is perfect and has no stress at all! We don’t have to add intense habits to our day, we don’t have to mark HOURS on our calendar to have a life of joy. We get to shift a few things (mainly the way we think about things) and joy will follow. Our thoughts are not seen by others AND if we shift the way we see things others can see the changes in our life. Listen in to find out more!

Hey hey!
I am so excited about today. You know that feeling of taking something from an idea, a concept, and then researching it and then finally creating it? This is what this episode is for me. I have been working on this idea of a joy path for YEAAARRSSS! How many times do we turn to a GPS to know the fastest route to somewhere. Even if I know where I'm going I use GPS to give me updates on the path I"m taking. Friend! This is what the Joy Path is all about! If you know where you are then you have more information to get to where you are going!
Today I talk about the Joy Path and I even created a quiz that will help you discover where you are on it 😉! Happy happy new year! So many times we rush through the summer and let's face it by the end of the summer we are ready for some sense of structure. And yet...we are so busy racing into the new structure that we forget we get to create it. Today I challenge you to take some time to reflect back on what's coming this semester. That's right...reflecting back before it even begins help you CRAFT a life of intention rather than managing the chaos in the moment.

Happy end of summer! Well, at least it feels like it is fast approaching. The fact that school starts in 2 weeks is my signifier that the end of summer is near. As I reflect on what we did (and we had a fantastic summer) I realized that I have let the activities of the day...the stuff I "need' to get done or "should" get done overshadow what really matters most. What aligns with my core values; I have slipped into my stress path of the Enneagram. Flat out- I was not really being grateful for the moment or even experiencing the moment. Has this happened to you?

Do you keep promises to yourself? I do not doubt that if a friend asked you to do something, you would make it happen- no matter what. And yet...and yet...you find something you want, need, and should do for yourself and it gets pushed aside. Do you know why this happens? Do you know what happens when you do this?
This is what I explore today! Something happens when summer is here, and so many of the schedules I put in place for myself or the kids... disappear. Happy Podcast day! I truly enjoy creating these videos and podcasts for you. My intention is to help you see that YOU are not alone. You are capable of so much more than you believe. AND that You have an impact to make. That desire you have is NOT undeserving or something to be covered up! It is part of who you are AND who God called you to be! So explore it!
In today's episode I dive into why we wait for things. I have a terrible habit of waiting until the right conditions before I act. I REALLY needed to organize some of my cabinets in the kitchen...and for some crazy reason I wait until I have the house to myself (which happens once a year) to make it happen! Why? When you have one day of complete freedom, do you want to organize? Lol, I shouldn't, But I do. Well I explored that in today's episode. Why do we give ourselves excuses and conditions before things happen? Why do we put thing things that we want on hold while we serve everyone else KNOWING that when things like this are done ( the things we need to do, the things we want to do, the things we should do) when those are done we actually remove guilt AND we show up in a happier way?! Why do we do this? Well listen in to find out!
