Hey hey! I'm so glad you are back. I know this episode is for someone- hopefully you! I know it's something I have to remind myself often. Our calling does not ask us to FEEL qualified for it. It was given to us before we were even born. The more we know who we are in Christ, our strengths, weaknesses, motivations...all of these help us see God's calling for us. Let's dive in and see what Christ says about it!
[Eph 2:8-10 ESV] 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
[Jer 1:5 ESV] 5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations."
[Mat 6:26 ESV] 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

There are points in time where we all are TIRED of making decisions. Where we just want someone to tell us what to do, how to do it, and tell us what we want. Friend, this is okay for a moment, for a season. We cannot go through life having others tell us everything we need or should be doing. We are taught from a young age that we should listen to the experts, the teachers, and ...the podcasters 🫣🤪. Friend! Today's episode is meant to be some much-needed permission to put some of the pressures you have down! It is intended to be an inspiration to know that YOU know what you want for your family. And it is not making everyone so busy they are unsatisfied with life. You can stop doing all the things and do the things that really matter. Guess what? You get to decide what matters! You do not have to do something because an amazing mom down the street is doing it. Let her do her thing, and you do yours! You BOTH are amazing moms EXACTLY as you are.
So listen in...and ask yourself as you go about your day... "Does this make sense for my family and what do I want them to gain?" Only you can answer it! The best part is if it is a yes- yay! Lean in and celebrate! And if it's "no" then you can shift why you are doing it or shift the action altogether! You get to choose!

Okay. I know I am going to ruffle some feathers with this one. It's okay- because we are all allowed to have our opinions! This episode has been on my heart for a while. As Christians, we tend to hold our tongue when it comes to some of the themes or phrases of the world. The phrase "it's just my truth" has been floating around for a really long time now, and it urks me when I hear it. First- by definition, truth is rooted in facts, not opinions or preferences. Second, it applies to all. In reality, it is important that we know where we stand with issues like this. We need to understand WHY it urks us or we have an issue with it. We need to know what our issue is AND how to stand up (in love) against things we do not believe in. So listen in, form your opinion, and start to pay attention to things that get under your skin and why!

You are enough right now...right as you are! We do not embrace this enough! As moms, we are enough. We try so hard to make sure that our people are taken care of. We serve on all the committees and all the boards. We are class moms, room moms, and team moms. We ensure everyone has what they need...and we are exhausted. We are not experiencing our lives...we are rushing around. Today, we dive into the importance of being in the moment AND living today. It's not our fault...we have so many things pulling our attention. Focusing on the fact that we are enough RIGHT NOW will give us the grace to set down some of the things we feel like we should do later.

Hey friend! I am so excited you are here! Welcome back to the podcast! Today I dive into a topic that is near and dear to my heart because I have been in this cycle FOR A LONG TIME! I am a go-getter, a fixer, someone who sees a problem and then starts figuring out how to get what I want...AND I would always look first to what I was DOING. I would look at my habits, actions, to-do list, schedule...I would look, and I would get down on myself because of the actions I was taking. I felt like I wasn't doing enough (even though I was busy); I felt like I SHOULD be able to build in these healthy habits...even though I would fall short constantly... I didn't even realize I was making one of the oldest mistakes in the book! I was looking at actions before I was looking at beliefs. So many times, we get caught in the trap and believe we are just not good enough. From science, we know that those thoughts are actually keeping us from doing the dos and getting the results! Wow! This has been a long time coming and I am SO FREAKING excited to share this with you. Our lives are full of ups and downs and man do we learn a lot along the way. We grow, we shift, we are pruned...we transform. One thing that is true about our lives as we walk in faith is that we are continuously changing. Over the past decade years I have been on a restoration journey and you want to know what I discovered...you are ALWAYS on a restoration journey! You are always healing and growing AND you can explore other journeys along the way. The idea of the weight of joy came from talking to a friend and fellow coach about how life is heavy and it is either the weight of world or the weight of joy. I cannot wait to share more with you!
